Green Tortex has been my fav. for quite a long time. Just recently started using a newer green tortex called "The Wedge"

Strings: .010 - .046 (EXL 110)...usually tune to Eb.

for guitar I use Dunlop picks. any heavy thick pick with grooves
in it for pick control.

And for Bass I use a Zookies thumbpick. A M-10 grade. It work great
for basses.

Those dava controls are the shit *banger* I only used the plain plastic ones but they were killer. I personally use the thinest possible with the style of music I have been playing is more of punk sounding stuff . I find it much easier with the thin picks

I use the green Tortex,it sure is kickass.maybe it's just my imagination but i get artificial harmonics easier w/ them,specially in Bonded By Blood's solo:D

and i use.09EXL D'addario strings

yeah, I'm not much into pick flex either, so I use the Jim Dunlop Stubbys 3.0mm, everything else feels weird to me now, the one on the right:

I like blue tortex or fender heavies and my strings are 10-52 but i substitute
a .012" for the high 'e' string

sucks at first but forces you to work harder!

my theory proved correct when i played a les paul through a kk marshall at a music store, the lighter strings obeyed my every desire :mrgreen:

I use the purple Dunlop sharp 1.14mm with DR tite fit strings (.010 - .052) In D tuning/Drop C
Gives a sharp metal sound

strings are now 11-48 on my strat and paul. the paul could go even heavier ( ie. 13s) with its shorter scale.

I have a beater strat that has 9-42s, and its tuned drop d, I don't play that too much though, maybe I can put the bigger strings on that with the same tuning when I get the cash :oops:

i'm trying to hit the strings near the bridge now for a more metal rhythm sound,
so the yellow and blue dunlops help me with that

off topic-I put 5 springs on my strat, so I don't know if that is discouraging me from using the trem bar,
but it feels good, kind of an overreaction to the wimpy 2 spring setup Fender gave it
