The latest VENOM cd has a lot of catchy tunes on it (which many bands have forgotten for whatever reason) take a listen.

My best friend and I have a long-running tradition of listening to At War With Satan in its entirety (except for the 2nd side of the album).

Rip Ride, Genocide, Cry Wold and AAURRGH are that LP's highlights IMO. ATWWS drags on like a hobo on a train, neVer has a destination nor journey. The other songs carry that record. Then Manitou 12" and The 7 Gates of Hell 12" pull a heavy load to round out an otherwise mediocre LP

IMHO: To each their own

I've been a fan since 1982? 83? But I have never seen them live.

Haven't seen them live either. They really know how to write catchy and heavy songs. I hate most metal now because the songs are simply terrible. Megadeth for example, their new stuff stinks worst than a chicken coop.
