So what's the difference between the $5000 ESP GH and the $1000 600 LTD GH besides the color? they don't really explain that..

It's an insult to ask $4,000 more for a different paint color. ESP must think their customers are pretty dumb.

They're awesome guitars alright, but I heard Gary say that it weighs a ton.

Yeah ever since the mid '00's when they started to sell to the U.S. again they've always been scalping on the prices.
Kinda surprised Gary stayed with the Paul shape and didn't go with a V

If you watch the video above you will see that Gary said they are heavy.

Gary's plays a lot of screeching harmonics. It's his trademark. I'd like to hear how this guitar sounds clean. I bet its badass.

HAHA! Awesome. I about shit when I saw those prices! Would love to get to play either one of them though but would be kind of scared to even touch a 5 grand guitar in a store! I love the look of it though but damn that price!

Quality of the specific wood that's used, the way it's put together (production-line versus hand-made). The $5000 model will be a lot better built, with less possible defects. Now, that's not exactly worth $4000 more, but the ESP name does come into play there.

Someone on the gear page complaining about the price.
There is also an ltd version, though.

Looks like these guitars are now available for sale. Found some stores that carry ESP/LTD in my state but not sure if they actually have these particular guitars for sale. I have never owned a Les Paul or similar style and would love to get my hands on one of these to at least try out. I am VERY interested in getting one just don't want to buy it without trying it out first. I did do that with the last guitar I bought which was Gary's signature Schecter V guitar oddly enough.

Been shopping around off and on all day for these guitars and looks like they aren't actually for sale yet but should be available by the end of March??? I am just eagerly waiting to try one out. Looking towards the mid priced one but would love to be able to actually play the ESP model just once. It would be nice to compare them side by side and see how much difference or not there is. I couldn't even imagine getting to play something that nice. Damn,
