Anybody like this stuff? I'm into the idea of clean vocals, and lower gain guitar. Maybe I'm just getting OLD!

I like Candelmass and Trouble. We played with Sheavy in Europe in 2006, great band.

I do like this stuff, even though I'm not a stoner. Imagine that !

I'm fairly young and I also like when you can hear wtf they're singing.. partly 'cos I want to sing along live (how do you do that with extreme black metal??!) , and also 'cos I like lyrics with some thought, and then its much more fun if you can hear about what .. though I don't think that the voice has to be clean, some rusty brutality is better

Solitude aeturnus was good back in the old days..
Neurosis is also AWESOME!!However they play sludge...

I fuckin love Trouble, Candlemass and Solitude Aeternus. Iron Man aren't bad either.

And dont forget Floodgate and Only Living Witness!!

yeah, most likely.. I have to admit though that I have a hard time dealing with music without guitars.. the guitar is essential..

Pagan Altar has always been criminally overlocked doom metal band.

Not really a huge fan of the doom/stoner genre, I'll have to check out some of these bands though~

I second that. Less growling and spewing out of fast food excess is not music.
